Jorrit

 Jorrit has been living in Zuid for a year and a half now, after having been away for a while, and has seen the area change by the day. He says that, besides the increasing number of homeless people, Zuid also has something beautiful to offer. For example, Jorrit can enjoy a walk through the beautiful Zuiderpark and he also looks with a smile at the small church in Oud Charlois.

From August 2021 to January 2022, a group of students worked on a concept for Hart van Zuid with a focus on leisure. They did this from and around our lab located on Zuidplein. While they were working, they discovered that they wanted to give something extra back to the community. They decided to go out on the streets and shoot beautiful portraits of entrepreneurs and residents of the neighbourhood. This portrait is one of the portraits from the series: ‘Local heroes from Hart van Zuid’.
